Michael Laird, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Innovative Roofing Group, is one of a kind. He has a sense of humor that rivals any stand-up comedian, a dead pan delivery that will make you believe just about any preposterous tale he weaves and he brings a sense of joy to IRG that makes coming to work an absolute pleasure. But, make no mistake, when it is time to get down to business, “Laird” gets the job done. He takes his role seriously, wants to ensure ALL of the customers are completely satisfied and has a work ethic we should all aspire to. IRG is lucky Michael celebrated his 4-year anniversary with the company in May.
How long have you been in the Roofing Industry? How did you get into the business?
I have been in the roofing industry for 16 years. I was working at a golf course and the golf pro was also a roofing salesman. He recruited me into the industry.
Please provide a description of your role at Innovative Roofing Group?
I am responsible for production and estimating. I also manage the Selig and Garland accounts.
What do you like most about your job?
I am still able to learn something new every day. I also like that IRG has a family feel to it.
What is your favorite memory of working at Innovative Roofing Group?
I really enjoyed our holiday party at Top Golf.

Tell us about your family.
I am married to my wife, Amy, for 14 years. We have a 10-year-old son named Hudson and we are raising our 16-year-old niece, Hailey.
What do you like to do in your spare time or on your days off?
In my free time I like to spend time with my family. I also started playing disc golf recently.
