Darryl Mashburn joined the Innovative Roofing Group in the summer of 2017 as a Service Department Foreman. He is an extraordinary team member that can be counted on to successfully address a wide variety of situations in the field and handles roof Maintenance for several key accounts.
How long have you been in the Roofing industry?
I got involved in the roofing industry over 26 years ago. But, I found my professional home 3+ years ago when I joined Innovative Roofing Group.
Describe your role at Innovative Roofing Group?
As a Foreman in our large Service Department, my helper and I are dispatched daily to address commercial roofing issues. Some days it is to identify the cause of a roof leak and to repair it. On others, it’s to inspect a roof and to develop a repair recommendation. And, on some days, it’s to perform routine and scheduled roof maintenance for a key account.
What do you like most about your job?
I really enjoy helping to develop the younger, less experienced Service Department team members at IRG. Management knows they can count on me to share the knowledge I have gained through my 26 years in the roofing industry in a productive way with any helper that they assign me. I’m proud to have seen several of my past helpers grow with the company and I believe I contributed in a meaningful way in each of their development. 
What is your favorite memory of working at Innovative Roofing Group?
We have a family atmosphere at IRG that I haven’t experienced elsewhere. During the holidays, we always come together and celebrate our accomplishments as a team. Each year the parties grow in size, reflecting the company’s growth. It’s great to spend time with and get to know my team members.
Tell us about your family?
I have a loving wife, 5 kids, and 9 grands that are my pride and joy. They run my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In the little spare time that I have from work and family obligations, I like to relax, shoot pool, and fish.
What is your favorite sports team?
Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks, ALL DAY!
