Lamont Ross Sr. joined the Innovative Roofing Group team in July of 2005. More than fifteen years later, Lamont is a Senior Foreman in our Service Division and is one of the industry’s very best at chasing leaks and repairing them. He has the experience and the skills to work on all types of installed roof systems. We asked Lamont a few questions to help our customers get to know him, and Innovative Roofing, a little better.
How did you get into the Roofing industry?
In 2005, I joined Innovative Roofing Group as a laborer on a production crew. The skills I learned tearing off and installing roofs continue to help me in my role today. Back then we were installing a lot of hot asphalt systems. In 2009, I transferred into the Service Division as a helper and was fortunate to be teamed up with Johnny Clark, Innovative Roofing Group’s second employee. Johnny has been an incredible mentor to me, both in the roofing industry and in life.
Describe your role at Innovative Roofing Group?
IRG has one of the largest commercial roofing service departments in Georgia. We run a dozen crews daily. We service a wide range of client roofing needs from emergency leaks, to planned repairs, and preventive maintenance. As a Senior Forman, I run a crew, dispatched to address different roofing conditions daily. I take pride in properly diagnosing roofing issues quickly and installing repairs that last.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy interacting with our customers and their tenants, and I find solving their problems very satisfying.
What is your favorite memory of working at Innovative Roofing Group?
The day I was hired!
Tell us about your family? 
I have a big family but, my life is all about my two boys, Lamont Jr. (16) and Damontae (13). I am a single dad and being a positive role model for my sons is the most important responsibility I have.
What do you like to do in your spare time or on your days off?
My spare time is all about my boys who are very active. We follow all of the Atlanta sports teams but my favorite is the Atlanta Falcons.
